FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 09/23/16 CHANNEL FLUXX IS HALFWAY THROUGH FIRST PITCH SEASON WITH FANTASTIC RESULTS AND GLOBAL SUBMISSIONS FILMMAKERS ARE EXCITED THEIR WEBSERIES MAY FIND FINANCING WHERE CROWDFUNDING FAILED
St. Petersburg, FL: Channel Fluxx officially launched on September 3rd, and has already found many filmmakers excited over the potential funding of their innovative series. With their new pitch season, which is running until October 8th, content creators are able to present their show ideas with the possibility of a pilot or even a whole season being produced. The company is looking for original ideas to help build a new digital channel that caters to imaginative and engaging content and creators have been flooding their inbox from all over the world.
Channel Fluxx’s pitch season is a free program encouraging creators to submit their ideas, followed by 10 episode being chosen to receive funding for a pilot. These episodes will be aired on the channel, along with interviews and insight into the development of the show. Once they air, a combination of user feedback, views, and production quality will help the channel determine 2 or more shows that will receive funding for a full season of episodes. Creators will also receive residuals and the opportunity to continue producing the series on a growing platform. The channel doesn’t have many guidelines they wish to implement, other than the desire for creators to show off their passion and unique vision.
“I can’t believe how strong a response we’ve received so far,” says Trevor Anderson, one of the producers at the channel. “Our model shows that creators are hungry for opportunity, and they’re excited about the promise of a growing company along with other fantastic programming. This innovative idea will open the doors for the creative voices of tomorrow. We’re all really excited for the future.”
To be considered, talent should apply at www.channelfluxx.com and submit their pitch. This package can include artwork, storyboards, a script, an outline, a video; whatever the creator decides best demonstrates their vision. If they’re selected, creators will receive a small budget to produce a pilot episode, and could receive a minimum budget of $2500 for a full series. Submissions begin now and run through October 8th, ending with ten new pilots being announced by the holiday season. Channel Fluxx is anticipating that the chosen shows will be revealed by the end of the year, with the full seasons released in the spring of 2017.
"Since launch we have see an astonishing amount of creative submission,” says Lester Bullock, CEO of Channel Fluxx. “We’re just over halfway through the submission process, and we expect to receive more than we ever dreamed possible."
